Episode 35: Dr. Georgia Ede

Dr. Georgia Ede, MD is a Harvard-trained, board-certified psychiatrist specializing in college mental health and nutritional psychiatry. She has 18 years of clinical experience in hospitals, community health centers, specialty clinics, and private practices, utilizing medications and psychotherapy to help adults of all ages. She served as a staff psychiatrist and nutrition consultant for seven years at Harvard University Health Services and for five years at Smith College in Western Massachusetts. In 2019, Dr. Ede established a new online video consultation service for individuals, families, and fellow clinicians to support people using special diets to treat psychiatric and other medical conditions. In addition to writing all of the content for her website, Dr. Ede is a regular contributor to Psychology Today and DietDoctor.com and speaks internationally about nutrition science and mental health.

Dr. Ede is convinced that what we eat is by far the single most important factor in our mental and physical health and is one of a growing number of physicians around the world who has come to believe that people who apply the truth about nutrition science to their lives can experience life-changing improvements in their own health and well-being. Dr. Ede’s nutrition philosophy is grounded in evolutionary science, human metabolism, and food biochemistry.
